This increase will be effective from next December
The reason behind the tariff rate hike is AGR
Companies like Aircel, Telenor, R-Com ended, while Idea and Vodafone merged. Now there are reports that Vodafone may be preparing to tackle its business in India. Airtel's customers have also fallen. But now cheap data will be expensive.

Tariffs will increase from December

These three major telecom companies - Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance Jio - have announced all their tariffs from December. There will be both prepaid and postpaid users. However, to date these companies have not released new plans.

Along with calling, data will also be expensive

The important thing is that with the calling now, the data will be more expensive. Vodafone Idea suffered the biggest loss so far in the second quarter. In addition, the company lost 25.7 million customers in September.

The reason behind the tariff rate hike is AGR

Experts believe that due to continued losses, companies will increase their tariff prices faster. However, the reason behind the increase in tariff rates by these three companies is the AGR. The amount of Rs. 94 thousand crores is to be paid by all telecom service providers to the government as AGR. More than half of this amount comes from Vodafone Idea's share.

The Supreme Court ruled

The Supreme Court in its ruling on October 24, 2019, has allowed the telecom department to collect about Rs 94,000 crore from telecom companies as an AGR. However, if you add interest and penalties to it, it will cost Rs. 1.3 lakh crore. There have been really constant reports that Vodafone may be able to summit its business from India but the company has not disclosed any details yet.

Airtel and Vodafone Idea's views on IUC are completely different from that of Reliance Jio. Both these companies have said that the TRAI that charges the IUC is still below the industry standard. These companies say that because of this, the state of the telecom industry is also becoming fragile at this time. Overall, these companies say that the IUC charge should be increased so that the industry can be brought to life.
